This rug is entirely hand-knotted in China from high-quality silk. These carpets are extremely rare on the market and sometimes even contain elements of pure gold threads. Chinese silk carpets have a very high knot density (approx. 700.000/m2) and are largely inspired by patterns from ancient Persian carpet art.
The colors of this rug vary depending on which side it is viewed from. This means that the carpet has a light and a dark side because of the location of the pile. You can play with this visible effect and decide in advance where the light side of the carpet should be visible.
